Plaquemines Parish, LA – October 21, 2025 — District Attorney Charles J. Ballay officially swore in Charles A. Lobrano as the newest Assistant District Attorney during a ceremony held at the District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Lobrano is the son of longtime 1st Assistant District Attorney Jerry J. Lobrano, who has served the office with distinction for over 29 years, and Dr. Mary Beth Lobrano. A lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish, Charles brings a strong sense of civic responsibility and a deep-rooted commitment to public service.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2022 and recently completed his Juris Doctorate at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2025.
“We are pleased to welcome Charles Lobrano to our team,” said District Attorney Ballay. “His dedication to the community and passion for justice make him a valuable addition to our office.”
The District Attorney’s Office looks forward to Mr. Lobrano’s contributions as he begins his legal career serving the citizens of Plaquemines Parish.
