Plaquemines Parish, LA — November 12, 2025
Bradley Allen Daniel stood trial for one count of domestic abuse battery stemming from an incident in Buras on February 7, 2025, in which he beat and terrorized his wife.
Deputies responded to the scene, and in conducting their investigation, spoke with the victim and an eyewitness who described the physical abuse.
The State introduced evidence at trial of prior incidents in which the defendant beat the victim and assaulted her with both a knife and a gun. In total, the State introduced 6 prior incidents in Texas, Maurepas, LA, and 2 cruise ship trips where the defendant abused and injured the victim. The victim’s previous injuries ranged in severity from a black eye to a ruptured spleen. However, none of these prior incidents resulted in convictions.
The case was first chaired by Assistant District Attorney Sarah Ansardi Tesvich and second chaired by Assistant District Attorney Avery Riley.
Daniel was found Guilty as Charged of Domestic Abuse Battery by Judge Kevin Conner and is set for sentencing on December 11, 2025. The State will seek the maximum sentence allowed by law for this violent offender.
The evidence presented by the State regarding the defendant’s prior bad acts was a crucial factor in the strength of their case. Prosecutors not only praise the fast response of law enforcement and their genuine concern throughout the investigation while on scene, but also the bravery of the victim in finally pressing charges and allowing her voice to be heard.
