On March 19, 2019, Jermaine Cooper, 27, of Houston, TX, pled guilty to the crime of Possession of Cocaine. Judge Kevin D. Conner sentenced Cooper to serve two years of incarceration with the Louisiana Departments of Corrections. This sentence was suspended under the condition that he successfully complete three years of active probation, pay a fine of $750.00 and court costs, pay $750.00 to the Public Defender’s Office, pay $100.00 for PPSO for expenses, pay $100.00 to the DARE program, pay $100.00 for Drug Education and successfully complete a substance abuse program.
