On February 19, 2019, Brandon Johnson, 24, of Port Sulphur, pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Judge Kevin D. Conner sentenced Johnson to serve ten years of incarceration with the Louisiana Departments of Corrections, sentenced suspended, and ordered Johnson to be placed on 3 years active probation, to pay a fine of $750.00, to pay court costs, to pay $250.00 to Public Defender’s Office, to pay $100.00 to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office for laboratory fees, to pay $100.00 to the D.A.R.E. Program, and to pay $100.00 for drug education. Judge Connor also ordered Johnson to enroll and complete the Substance Abuse Program.
